Final roundup

On the News Service, Alva French had a piece on a mecca for graffiti artists.

Nathan Frandino and Annais Morales did a story on a New Yorker who recycles old bikes. Ms. Morales was also back in the New York Post last month. In addition, busy Annais had a contribution on the latest episode of “219 West”, as did Alcione Gonzalez, Sherrina Navani and Michael McCutcheon.

Elsewhere, Ad Age recently had a nice breakdown of The Demographics of Social Media. Speaking of which, check out The Most Complete Twitter Application List Available.

And what would the last post of the school year be without another Census tool?

Best semester ever.  Now please go out and kick you-know-who’s you-know-what in a research contest.

Have a great summer!

It’s been awhile since we last met, but I know the break is well earned!

The latest edition of “219 West” is online.  The Women’s History Month-themed show is hosted by Alcione Gonzalez and Chase Rosen, and includes a contribution from Annais Morales.

Sherrina Navani’s video about faith and food made The Feast.

Last but not least, I’m back from New Orleans and the United States Basketball Writers Association awards ceremony in Houston, having closed out the college hoop season with a flurry of stories and a welcome reward

New shout-outs

Kudos to the team of Amy Stretten, Alcione Gonzalez and Jennifer Hamblett for their video piece on the News Service looking at proposed cab designs in New York City.  Jennifer also had a post about a photographer’s black-and-white take on Los Angeles featured on The New York Times’ Lens blog.  And Hannah Miet’s story about an online matchmaking service called Date My School made The Times’ Sunday paper.

Congratulations also goes out to Bianca for her story in The Queens Courier about pop-up art galleries in empty storefronts.
